Making a difference

The Centenary Year at Minstead Trust was a very memorable year in my career as I had the opportunity to work within the Social Enterprise Team, and for the first time, work within a charity supporting people with learning disabilities.

Previously working in retail and always championing opportunities for people with autism and hidden disabilities, improving accessibility for customers and raising awareness around mental health. I could now bring these skills and commercial experience to drive income for the charity and know that everything we as a team could deliver, would add real value to the people we support.

I have adored working with the many teams across the charity and seeing the people we support develop in safe training venues. Although the job is hugely challenging, it is incredibly rewarding and I wish I had joined Minstead Trust sooner. Thank you to everyone who has made me feel part of the team.
