Teresa’s story: Big Give 2024

Teresa’s son Tom is supported by Minstead Trust. Here, she kindly shares how the challenges Tom faced when leaving college impacted their family and how Minstead Trust has supported them along the way.

Tom had a difficult time at college and didn’t receive the support he needed to help him thrive in that environment or the guidance on what options were available after college.

A chance meeting with a family friend eventually brought Tom to Minstead Trust.

The ‘Kick start my life’ Big Give fundraiser will help young people with learning disabilities like Tom, get the support they need to kick start a fulfilling life of employment, friendships and purpose.
