Gill & Nick: Volunteers at New Forest day opportunities

Husband and wife team, Gill & Nick, have been volunteering at Minstead Trust for about 11 years now. Both volunteer at Minstead Lodge, home to New Forest Day Opportunities, where Gill helps the Animal Care team and Nick now volunteers in the wood workshop, having initially helped in the lodge gardens.

“We love the time we spend with the instructors and the people supported by the Trust. Whether it’s looking after or clearing up after the animals (donkeys, goats and geese!), making things for sale at the Furzey Gardens shop – or just having a laugh with everyone as we help and support their sessions and activities, we really enjoy our time at Minstead Trust and always leave with a smile on our faces!”
