Dan’s story: Big Give 2024

Meet Dan, one of our dedicated apprentices at The View, one of our Lily & Lime cafés in Portsmouth. Dan’s journey hasn’t been easy.

After a challenging time in college, he found himself unsure of what came next and left without the guidance he needed. Like many young people, he felt lost and uncertain about his future.

Joining The View café has been a turning point for Dan, giving him a sense of purpose, structure, and the support he missed before. Here, he shares how this experience has helped him find direction, develop new skills, and build confidence for the road ahead.

The ‘Kick start my life’ Big Give fundraiser will help young people with learning disabilities like Dan, get the support they need to kick start a fulfilling life of employment, friendships and purpose.
