She first started out her work journey as a supported intern at Lily&Lime cafe in Portsmouth, one of six social enterprises run by Minstead Trust.
She quickly demonstrated that she was management material and rose the ranks to become an independent manager of the Lily&Lime café within a local Portsmouth pharmacy.
‘I am bubby, I am talkative, I am polite, and I am me because why would you want to be anybody but yourself?’.
Her sentiments echo exactly why her, and others, are spearheading #MeNotMyDisability, a fundraising campaign helping people with learning disabilities to be seen, heard and respected as valuable individuals to society.
