National Volunteers’ Week falls on 3-9 June 2023, celebrating 40 years of Volunteers Week and recognising all that volunteers do across local communities, charities and society.

A message from Adam Dodd – CEO

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Volunteers Week.

Throughout this week we will sharing stories about volunteering through social media, and hope that many of you were able to join our celebration movie night at Hanger Farm.

As well as helping others, volunteering has been shown to have a positive impact on the lives of those who volunteer, whether that’s gaining new skills, boosting confidence or making friends.

Whatever motivates you to volunteer – thank you. Your passion and commitment enriches the lives of the many people you have supported.

In the past few weeks, I have been job shadowing different roles and I have seen first hand the amazing work of our volunteers; your skills and enthusiasm complementing the many and varied activities taking place each day throughout Minstead Trust. It is with your help we are able to achieve so much, supporting  people with learning disabilities to enjoy fun and fulfilling lives.

I am pleased this week we are able to shine the spotlight on your great work.

Thank you never seems enough for the amazing work you do, but I do want you to know your continued kindness, generosity and commitment is valued year round.
