Bank Support Worker
£11.50 per hour

As a Bank Support Worker, you’ll provide support across our Day Opportunities Service. You’ll be working with individuals with learning disabilities helping to engage them in a wide range of sessions, inspiring fun and creativity whilst encouraging independence and leading and allowing individuals to live, happy, healthy and fulfilling lives.
About the role:
- Supporting individuals to take part in a range of timetabled sessions
- Liaising with session leaders
- Assisting individuals with their personal, social and healthcare needs whilst maintaining accurate records
- Supporting individuals to meet their goals and outcomes in health, wellbeing and independence
- Working as part of a team as well as lone working within the community as needed
- Support individuals with everyday tasks as required.
What are we looking for:
- Previous experience of working in a social care setting
- The ability to work calmly and professionally whether alone or, as part of our friendly team!
- The essential capability to build a rapport with colleagues, volunteers and the families and carers of the people we support
- Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential
- Due to the nature of the role a car driver with access to your own vehicle and willingness/ability to drive a mini-bus, is desirable.
