I wanted to be a trustee at Minstead Trust for two reasons.
To be part of a diverse group of people who think that inclusion; having a voice; being heard; regardless of who you are, is important, hard to achieve and to sustain.
Secondly, to be part of an organisation, led by people who know that the mission and values requires constant attention to how we all think and behave.
I most recently worked at The King’s Fund as a senior leadership, OD consultant, working in the VCSE sector and NHS. My research for the past ten years is into how people can be silenced in organisations (and have a voice) and the implications of this for keeping people safer.
